New York City with the Fuji X100

I took all these photos during a weekend trip to Manhattan and Brooklyn in December, 2011. I kept my Fuji X100 in my pocket as I traveled the city, and these are the results.

You can see the freedom tower being built in the background of the photo above. It will be interesting to look back on this photo a couple years from now.

This is my favorite photo I took while in New York. She is a Jamaican worker at JFK airport. I saw the scene, bent down, snapped one photo, and then was on my way. Sometimes everything falls into place at just the right moment.

There was an event happening when I was there called Santa Con. Everyone dresses up like Santa and goes bar hopping. Made for some interesting shots.

This was taken at a church on the upper east side. They allow you to bring your pets to services.

This last photo of a fellow passenger was snapped on my return flight.

Pui + Geoff, Westlake Village, California

A super fun shoot with an awesome couple. This was the first shoot with my new Nikon D700. Loving the full frame sensor and amazing image quality!

Pete + Andra, Colorado wedding

The first post on the new blog!

What a beautiful day it turned out to be in Rocky Mountain National Park. Four inches of snow brought the ceremony inside, but the sun was out after, and the snow made for some amazing scenery. I wasn’t the official photographer at this wedding (I was in it!), but I was able to get some photos. I decided to bring along actual, old-school film. These shots taken with my Nikon N80 and film (Ilford HP5, Fuji Neopan 1600, and Kodak Tri-X). Fun stuff!
